Designed for rapid determination of the equivalent equilibrium volumetric activity (EEVA) of radon Rn-222, the “hidden energy” of radon progeny and thoron Rn-220 progeny, the volumetric activity of RaA, RaB and RaC progeny. Capable of spectrometric determination of the EEVA of thoron in the air, indoors and in the open area during radiochemical, geological and radioecological studies.

  • Description

    The radiometer is a portable device for measuring the EEVA of radon.

    Radon EEVA measurements come from the catching of progeny aerosols on type AFA-RSP-10 aerosol filters and measurement of the activity of RaA and RaC alpha emitters. The volumetric activity of short-lived progeny is calculated according to formulas that take into account the accumulation and disintegration of progeny, both at the sampling stage and when measuring the sample’s activity.

    The radiometer is designed to operate in semi-automatic mode.
