The RRP-01-SOLO radioisotope relay device is designed for contactless positional control of the level of liquid and bulk materials, control of the movement of objects, control of the boundary separation between the two media, etc. The device has a threshold alarm system.

Based on its metrological characteristics, the RRP-01-SOLO radioisotope relay device is not a measuring instrument as per GOST 17134-80 standard “Radioisotope relay devices. General specifications.” It is a threshold warning device in the indicator mode.

  • Description

    This is a stationary device designed to produce a warning signal when a preset threshold level of gamma radiation is exceeded.

    Gamma radiation is measured using scintillation detectors.

    The information is displayed on an LDCD readout; there are sound and light alarms, as well as the ability to transfer data to a PC.

    The device consists of a gamma radiation detection unit (GRDU), an information processing unit (IPU) and a power supply.

    The device performs basic radiation control tasks in accordance with the Hygiene Standards of the Sanitary and Epidemiological Guidelines for Radiation Safety (HS SEGRS) (NRB) and the of the Sanitary Rules of the Sanitary and Epidemiological Guidelines for Radiation Safety (SR SEGRS).

     

  • Features
    • The detection unit uses a scintillation detector consisting of a scintillator and a semiconductor photoelectronic multiplier tube (PMT). Semiconductor PMTs are protected against vibrations, shocks and electromagnetic fields; a PMT’s supply voltage does not exceed 30 V, so it can be used in harsh operating conditions;
    • Water and foreign solids protection rating of the GRDU: IP68;
    • Water and foreign solids protection rating of the IPU: IP67;
    • Continuous monitoring of performance and stability;
    • Precise (digital) threshold and time constant adjustment;
    • Solid-state optoelectronic relays do not create interference during switching;
    • GRDU settings are saved to non-volatile memory with the IPU over RS-485 or from a PC;
    • Alarm threshold is set by software;
    • Light and sound alarm warning is activated when the thresholds are exceeded;
    • The device memory can store up to 1000 activation records which can be displayed on the control panel and through the interface on the PC.
