Automated system of radiation exposure monitoring of hands for group «A» personnel ASKZ-01A is made on the basis of radiometer-dosimeter «RKS-01AS-SOLO» and is designed for automation of the pass entry system and control of contamination of the surface of hands with alpha-emitting radionuclides in automatic mode. A light and audible alarm warn when a specified threshold of the dose rate is exceeded.

    SYSTEM OPERATING PRINCIPLES

    The «ASKZ-01A» system is designed for:

    • automatic control of contamination of hand skin surface with alpha-particles;
    • identification of employees by access identification cards;
    • recording and storing in the database all measurement results (measured values, date, time, employee’s full name, video recording), including exceeding the set thresholds of each employee.
    SYSTEM SETUP

    «ASKZ-01A» consists of:

    • radiometer-dosimeter RKS-01AS-SOLO;
    • access pass reader;
    • personal computer;
    • turnstiles;
    • video camera;
    • uninterruptible power supply;
    • information display.
    The «RKS-01AS-SOLO» radiometer-dosimeter is designed for automatic control of the hand surface exposure to alpha radiation. There are light and audible alarms for warning of exceeding or not exceeding the set contamination thresholds.
    The device is used in changing rooms, clean rooms, laboratories of enterprises and institutions using alpha-active substances.
