Radiation and environmental monitoring mobile laboratory

Radiation and environmental monitoring mobile laboratory

The mobile laboratory for radiation and environmental monitoring consists of a vehicle designed to bring to the required location emergency response teams and the equipment for operational detection and measurement of radioactive contamination parameters. It is essential for quick radiation inspection in the event of radiation-related emergencies, as it allows quick response to radiation accidents at radiation hazardous facilities; response to incidents related to environmental pollution; monitoring of environmentally unsafe facilities, enterprises and industrial zones.

It is a critical tool for effective management of measures to protect the public.

We produce customized mobile radiological laboratories to suit specific customer requirements.

  • Description

    The mobile lab is equipped with radiation and environmental monitoring equipment from our catalog.

    All devices are registered in the Register of the State System for Ensuring the Uniformity of Measurements of the Republic of Kazakhstan and are supplied with initial metrological verification.

    The mobile lab is designed to perform the following tasks:

    • bring people and laboratory equipment to the desired location while driving on different types of road surfaces;
    • detect and localize radioactive sources and contaminants;
    • determine the characteristics of radioactive contamination (gamma radiation dose rate, radionuclide composition of contaminants, the presence of alpha and beta emitting radionuclides, the presence of radioactive aerosols, etc.);
    • provide forecast estimates of the spread of radioactive products;
    • provide mapping of polluted territories;
    • determine the movement characteristics of a radioactive cloud using marking and radar sensing of atmospheric objects;
    • take samples and conduct rapid analysis of soil, water and air.
