In accordance with the following regulatory documents: “Qualification requirements and a list of documents confirming compliance for activities in the field of atomic energy use” (Order 122 of November 13, 2014 of the Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan), “Guidelines for certification of personnel employed at nuclear facilities” (Order 12 of January 20, 2016 of the Minister of Energy Republic of Kazakhstan), “Guidelines for advanced training of personnel employed at nuclear facilities” (Order 13 of January 20, 2016 of the Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan), “Qualification requirements for personnel employed at nuclear facilities” (Order 37 of February 5, 2016 of the Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan), organizations and enterprises require qualified personnel to ensure the safety of operations.

SOLO LLP provides Radiation Protection and Safety training for personnel under License no. 18009756 of May 16, 2018 “Special training of personnel responsible for ensuring nuclear and radiation safety” issued by the Committee for Atomic and Energy Supervision and Control of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The company has developed and successfully implemented a Quality Management System that complies with the national standard ST RK ISO 9001-2016.

Lecturers include leading experts in the field of radiology. Practical classes use modern radiological equipment. At the end of the course, students take qualification exams and get certificates of completion.

The course includes 77 academic hours (6 calendar days).

The main parts of the course include:

  1. Basic concepts of radioactivity;
  2. Biological effect of ionizing radiation;
  3. Regulation of human exposure;
  4. Radiation accidents;
  5. Calculation of protection against ionizing radiation;
  6. Calculation of external and internal exposure dose;
  7. Natural background radiation;
  8. Dosimetry of ionizing radiation;
  9. Control of internal human exposure;
  10. Radioactive waste management;
  11. Nuclear legislation and organization of control and supervision of radiation safety;
  12. Submitting documents to obtain a license to conduct activities using atomic energy;
  13. Safety culture;
  14. Ensuring safety of radioactive materials during transportation;
  15. Testing of radioactive materials and packaging. Export and import of radioactive materials;
  16. Practical classes using radiation monitoring devices.
